When the kids become the parent

When I was a kid, I remember having to go to my grandpa’s house before and after school so I could help him walk to the bathroom. Our entire family rallied around to help support my Grandpa. Aging is apart of life and as one ages, chances are we’re all going to need some form of help.

Just the simple things in life can be taken for granted such as going to the grocery store for milk, making a warm meal, paying bills or making sure you are taking your medications.

As mobility or memory issues develop, most of us will need to rely upon others. Neither kids, nor grandkids, nor the parents want to be in this position. Yes, it’s the reality of life of as we age and move into a new stage.
